Litany to Blessed
John Paul II
The Metropolitan Archbishop
of Kraków, Stanislaw Cardinal Dziwisz, has granted his Imprimatur (official
church approval) for the following litany to be said after the beatification
of John Paul II. Cardinal Dziwisz had, for many years, been the Polish
Pontiff's secretary and has played an important role in promoting his
spiritual heritage, as
well as his beatification process.
Lord, have mercy on us.

God, the Father of heaven - have mercy on us.
God the Son, Redeemer of the world - have mercy on us.
God the Holy Spirit - have mercy on us.
Holy Trinity, one God - have mercy on us.

Merciful God, accept our
thanksgiving for the gift of the apostolic life and mission of
Blessed John Paul II and through his intercession helps us grow in our love
for you and
courageously proclaim the love of Christ to all people. Through Christ Our
Lord. Amen.
